Life Groups are small gatherings of people who meet regularly to connect, grow in faith, and support one another. Whether through Bible study, prayer, sharing meals, or just talking about life, these groups are about building relationships in an honest, down-to-earth environment. They’re a place where you can explore what following Jesus looks like in your everyday life.

Current List of Groups
Palestine Advocacy Team (PAT)
- This group will meet bi-weekly to plan strategies and participation in Palestinian human rights advocacy in our community.
Location: near Downtown Oakland
Frequency: every other Monday evening at 7:00pm beginning January 5th
LGBTQ life group:
- We're an inclusive LGBTQ+ group that prioritizes community building by hosting a get-together once a week. Our gatherings range from scripture studies, game nights, poetry nights, and so much more. Our group encourages members to lead our meetings which accounts for all the various activities.
Location: Oakland near Lake Merritt (details provided in email)
Frequency: Thursdays at 7pm
Crafters Group:
- OakLife’s crafters are invited to join a bimonthly group meeting to discuss all things handmade and celebrate the therapeutic and communal benefits of handicrafts. Come to learn something new, share your creations or enjoy a supportive space to work on your craft and meet others!
Location: Address varies depending on hang out
Frequency: Every other Tuesday night, OR some Sunday's after church.
Oak Life Families:
- Seasonal community hangouts for kiddos and parents
Location: Address varies depending on hang out
Frequency: About every other quarter
Chair Chats Continued:
- The Chair Chats Continued consist of casual conversation followed by discussion of the previous Sunday’s sermon. Whether you attend once or stick around, you’ll get to know your fellow Oak Lifers and learn from them.
Location: Adams Point
Frequency: 7pm every Wednesday
North Bay MOVIE Group:
- The North Bay MOVIE Group is a film club where members of the group vote on a movie to watch and discuss, while sharing food and enjoying each other's company.
Location: Rotating between Benicia, Vallejo, Martinez, Hercules.
Frequency: Once per month
Board Game Group:
- Board game Life group is about connecting while playing some non-competitive games. We usually play party or casual games as a whole group.
Location: Will rotate among the members of the group, and meets SUNDAYS from 1-3pm
Frequency: monthly (for Oct and Nov we're meeting the 3rd Sunday of the month, from December on we'll meet during the 2nd Sunday of the month)
Hiking Group:
- Meets (typically) every 1st Saturday of the month, rain or shine.
Location: varies
Frequency: monthly
