Church-Wide Book Study (INTEREST/INFO FORM HERE)
Join us as we reflect together on @munther_isaac s book “The Other Side of the Wall: A Palestinian Christian Narrative of Lament and Hope“. Given current events, our hope is for high participation as we consider how to seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly. We’ll be hosting discussions as we progress through the book after church on Sundays 2/25, 3/10, and 3/24. We hope to discuss Chapters 1 - 4 on 2/25; Chapters 5 - 7 on 3/10; and Chapters 8 - Epilogue on 3/24, at our final meeting. Click here to RSVP or for more info.

There are some great spaces happening beyond Sundays that help our community go deeper. Click here to read more about the groups. We’re also open to creating more groups if anyone is interested. This can be a Bible study, prayer group, book group, cooking group, etc. If you’re interested in learning more let us know! Family/Kids Sunday updates:
We hired a part time childcare coordinator! (yay) Parents - Please head back after service this Sunday to the kids space to check in/meet our new coordinator: Erica Ramsey (erica@oaklifechurch.com) Community Resources: We’ve updated some things on our website including adding a “how we practice” section which names some of the many ways our community/leadership tries to put it’s values into practice. We also added a “how to be an ally” section which invites us to consider how we can best support one another in a community as beautiful and diverse as Oak Life. Both of these new sections were developed after hearing from our community and a desire to communicate more how we’re seeking to grow and organize Oak Life. Feel free to share feedback on those pages via the form on the bottom. Covid Protocol Update: After hearing from the community our Leadership Team has voted to make masks as recommended but optional going forward. Thank you to all who have consistently shown caution/respect as we gather together and honor one another. We will continue to follow local health guidelines/recommendations as they are updated.

Volunteers needed
As we continue to get back in the swing of in-person gatherings we are hoping to add to our volunteer teams. Areas of need include: set up, AV, and greeters. This is a super easy way to support and get connected! If you’d like volunteer or learn more click here.
Third Sunday Generosity!
Over the past 12 months Oak Life has donated over $15k to outside orgs doing good in our world! Thanks to everyone who’s helped Oak Life reflect its values, especially in this time. Special thanks to our Third Sunday team and all of our partners who are doing such wonderful work! January’s donation was in support Prisoners Literature Project.

Oak Life is dedicated to serving people and organizations doing good work in the community and the world. We dedicate our Third Sunday offering and a portion of our outreach budget, to an organization we highlight on that Sunday. If you know of an organization or person working toward justice, compassion, advocacy or service to the community, The Third Sunday Committee would love to hear from you!
